Midway games, costumes, music, and a little Halloween mischief are taking over Richmond's Starr Gennett Building this Saturday, October 24, as Richmond Civic Theatre hosts its annual Stage Fright fundraiser. This year's theme? CARNEVIL.
The adults-only Halloween party runs from 7 p.m. to midnight at 101 S. 1st Street in Richmond, with an evening of carnival-inspired entertainment supporting one of the community's longtime arts organizations.
Guests can enjoy midway games, a 50/50 drawing, raffles featuring prizes donated by local businesses, and music from DJ Kevin Green. Sweet Blessings will provide heavy hors d'oeuvres, with drinks from The Cordial Cork.
Costumes are encouraged, with awards for Scariest, Funniest, Best Couple's Costume, Best Group Costume, Most Creative/Best DIY Costume, and Best in Theme. Category winners will also have a chance to compete for the Fan Favorite award.
More Than a Halloween Party
Stage Fright is Richmond Civic Theatre's largest fundraiser of the year, helping support its productions, Stage One youth theatre, and upkeep of the theatre.
"Stage Fright is a wonderful opportunity to bring our community together for a night of fun while supporting something that matters to Richmond," said RCT Executive Director Kate Jetmore.
Richmond Civic Theatre has been part of the community since 1941, offering opportunities for people of all ages to participate in live theatre, both onstage and behind the scenes.
