RICHMOND, Ind. – Dogs and their owners are invited to take part in a free community event Saturday evening in Richmond’s Historic Depot District.

The Historic Richmond Depot District and Blue Buffalo are hosting a Dog’s Night Out from 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 29. The event will give friendly, well-behaved dogs and their owners an opportunity to walk through the historic neighborhood together.

Watering stations for dogs will be available throughout the district, courtesy of Paint the Towne.

A costume parade and contest are scheduled for 6 p.m., giving participants a chance to show off their dogs’ best looks.

The event is free and open to the community.
