INDIANA – First Bank Richmond and The Farmers Bank will soon operate under the name First Bank Midwest, pending shareholder and regulatory approval, the companies announced.

The new brand will include Mutual Federal, a division of First Bank Richmond, and its six offices in Ohio.

The organizations also unveiled a new logo and brand identity that will take effect July 1, 2026.

Upon completion of the merger, First Bank Midwest will operate under parent company Richmond Mutual Bancorporation Inc., which trades on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol RMBI.

Richmond Mutual Bancorporation will remain headquartered in Richmond, while First Bank Midwest will be based in Frankfort, Indiana.

According to a press release, the name was selected intentionally to reflect the heritage of both organizations in their communities. The orange at the center of the logo is meant to represent a Midwest sunrise, symbolizing optimisim and new beginnings.

On July 1, customers can expect business to continue as usual at all locations.
