REGIONAL – Memorial Day is quickly approaching, and communities across the area are preparing to honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to the country. Here’s a look at several Memorial Day parades and ceremonies happening nearby.
Eaton, OH
The City of Eaton will host its annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 25, beginning at 9:30 a.m. in downtown Eaton. Residents are encouraged to line Main Street and take part in the traditional ceremonies that follow at the Main Street Bridge and Mound Hill Cemetery.
New Castle, IND
The New Castle Memorial Day Ceremony and Parade will take place Monday, May 25. A ceremony honoring fallen service members will begin at 9 a.m. outside the Henry County Courthouse, followed by the parade at 10 a.m.
Greenville, OH
The Memorial Day Parade in Greenville begins at 1 p.m. and will travel down South Broadway toward Greenville-Union Cemetery, where a formal memorial service will be held. Prior to the parade, veterans and their families are invited to attend a lunch at 11 a.m. at American Legion Post 140, located at 325 N. Ohio Street.
Union City, IND
Union City’s Memorial Day Parade will begin Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Union City High School, 430 Saint Joseph Street. The procession will conclude with a memorial service at the local cemetery honoring fallen service members. Participants are asked to arrive and line up before 10:15 a.m.
Richmond, IND
The Memorial Day Parade is scheduled for Monday, May 25, at 11 a.m. at Wayne County Veterans Memorial Park in the Whitewater Gorge.
Cambridge City, IND
Cambridge City will hold its annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 25, 2026, beginning at 10:30 a.m. Organized by the Cambridge Area Lions Club, the parade will travel through downtown along Main Street.
The day’s observance will include several ceremonies and events throughout the surrounding communities. Morning services will begin in Dublin and Milton, with stops scheduled at Dublin South Lawn at 9:30 a.m., Pershing Lutheran at 10:15 a.m., and Milton Hill at 10:30 a.m.
Following the parade, a remembrance ceremony will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City at 11 a.m. The day will conclude with a meal for local veterans at 11:30 at the Post, located at 25 W. Church Street.
