Mass Casualty Training for Local First Responders

WAYNE COUNTY, Ind. – Emergency responders in the Richmond area are taking preparations to keep the city safe.

On Saturday, May 30, a mass casualty incident training exercise is planned at the Richmond Municipal Airport from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Public safety partners are coming together during this exercise to better prepare and train. Residents could notice multiple emergency vehicles, helicopters and a school bus in the area.

Training signs will be posted to inform the public that this is a planned exercise. Traffic near the airport may be slower than normal as emergency vehicles enter and exit the airport.
