RANDOLPH COUNTY, Ind. – The Lynn community is mourning the loss of Town Marshal Brad Fisher, a longtime public servant who spent more than two decades serving the people of Randolph County.
Fisher died Wednesday, July 29, after being struck during an incident involving a stolen vehicle while assisting law enforcement. According to Indiana State Police, Fisher was taken to a hospital where he later died from his injuries.
A 27-year veteran of law enforcement, Fisher served the Lynn community as town marshal and became a familiar face to residents throughout the area.
Beyond his role in law enforcement, Fisher was known for his involvement in the community and the many roles he filled over the years.
A procession honoring fallen Lynn Town Marshal Brad Fisher traveled from Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie to Reichard Funeral Home in Union City, bringing together those paying tribute to his service and sacrifice.
Residents will have an opportunity to gather and honor Fisher during a community vigil. The vigil takes place at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 30, at the Randolph Southern Junior-Senior High School baseball diamond.
