The Economic Development Corporation of Wayne County is seeking developers interested in helping revitalize Richmond’s historic Starr Neighborhood.
The EDC has issued a Request for Qualifications for developers interested in rehabilitating historic homes. Local, regional, small-scale and emerging developers are encouraged to apply.
The neighborhood, known for its historic homes and architecture, is listed among Indiana Landmarks’ “Most Endangered” places. The EDC is acquiring properties through State of Indiana READI 2.0 funding to prevent further deterioration and create homeownership opportunities.
Selected developers may submit proposals for individual properties or small groups of properties and could receive development subsidies to help offset rehabilitation costs.
Statements of Qualifications are due by 5 p.m. Sept. 28.
