Stocked for Success Supports Local Teachers

WAYNE COUNTY, Ind. – The Stocked for Success campaign helped local teachers with needed classroom supplies ahead of the new school year, thanks to strong community support and volunteer efforts.

Christin Hampton, Development & Marketing Coordinator for Communities in Schools, said the initiative was successful in collecting supplies that matched teachers’ wish lists and addressed specific classroom needs.

“We’re really excited about how Stocked for Success turned out,” Hampton said. “Our community showed up in a big way, and as a result, we were able to fill teachers’ wish lists with supplies they actually needed for their classrooms and students.”

Volunteers from Merchant Bank of Indiana assisted with packing the teacher supply boxes. Hampton said the team was focused on preparing the boxes for distribution and did not capture photos of the effort but expressed appreciation for the volunteers’ support.

The campaign’s organizers said the effort will help teachers begin the school year feeling more prepared while easing some of the financial burden many educators face when purchasing classroom supplies with their own money.

“When we support teachers, we’re also helping them better support their students,” Hampton said. “That was the whole goal of this campaign.”

Organizers said the Stocked for Success campaign reflects the impact of community partnerships in helping meet the needs of local classrooms and educators.
