Flooding prompts shelter openings

REGIONAL - Additional shelters have opened across the region as flooding continues to displace residents and force evacuations.

In Wayne County, the American Red Cross shelter at the Kuhlman Center remains open for residents needing emergency assistance. Western Wayne Elementary, the Cambridge City Fire Department and the Golay Community Center are also accepting evacuees.

In Henry County, the trustee center in New Castle remains open for residents displaced by flooding. Connersville High School is also serving as an evacuation location in Fayette County.
