Reid Health Donates $100K to Flood Relief

WAYNE COUNTY, Ind. – Reid Health has donated $100,000 to support the Wayne County Cares Fund.

This contribution will aid in providing support to communities impacted by the floods.

The Wayne County Foundation handles the Fund and has been on the ground in communities talking with residents and officials throughout the county. Reid team members are also working on the grounds and identifying needs in local communities.

“So far, that has meant performing water rescues, helping identify flooded roadways, and donating items such as food, water, masks, gloves, and tetanus vaccines,” said Reid Health Vice President Jason Troutwine in a statement.

As of Tuesday, Aug. 18, 176 homes in Wayne County sustained major damage and 74 sustained minor damage. Numbers are continuing to be compiled by Wayne County Emergency Management.
