$750,000 Matching Grant to Support Four Randolph County Nonprofits

Category: Business

RANDOLPH COUNTY, Ind. – A YMCA renovation, a new 4-H riding arena and expanded library programming are among the local projects getting support through a $750,000 matching grant.

The Community Foundation of Randolph County announced Oct. 21 that it received the funding through Lilly Endowment Inc.’s Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow initiative, known as GIFT IX.

The grant will support the Randolph County YMCA’s expansion and renovation, construction of a multi-use riding arena for Randolph County 4-H, and a larger septic system at Open Arms House of Worship’s Camp Trinity. The camp improvement would accommodate more campers and potentially allow overnight camp.

Winchester Community Library will also receive support for expanded adult programming through 2028, with donor gifts establishing an endowment for that work.

Qualifying contributions for the four organizations are eligible for a dollar-for-dollar match. Gifts supporting the foundation’s unrestricted endowments qualify for a $2 match for every $1 contributed.

More information about the projects and matching opportunities is available through the Community Foundation of Randolph County.
