RICHMOND, Ind. – Local officials and developers will break ground next week on a new single-family housing development, marking the first project to move forward under Wayne County’s Housing Accelerator Program.
The groundbreaking ceremony for Section 12 of the Hidden Valley subdivision is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, on West Clear Creek Lane on Richmond’s west side.
Led by Trademark Construction, the Hidden Valley development is part of a broader countywide effort to address housing shortages and boost workforce attraction.
The project represents the initial phase of a larger initiative designed to expand 82 housing opportunities across Wayne County communities.
The Economic Development Corporation (EDC) of Wayne County is hosting the event alongside project partners Trademark Construction, First Bank Midwest, the City of Richmond, and Wayne County.
According to the EDC, the Housing Accelerator Program is leveraging more than $26 million in new single-family housing investments throughout the county.
