CONNERSVILLE, Ind. – The Connersville Police Department will participate in the annual Cop on a Rooftop fundraiser on Friday, May 15, at the Dunkin’ location, 300 W. 30th Street.
From 5 a.m. to noon, officers will be stationed inside, outside and around the store to collect donations and raise awareness for Special Olympics Indiana athletes, who train and compete at no cost.
Visitors who donate will receive a coupon for a free donut. Those who give $10 or more will receive a coupon for a free medium hot coffee.
The event is part of a statewide effort involving nearly 50 law enforcement agencies. Organizers say Cop on a Rooftop events have raised more than $125,000.
