Winchester Speedway is mourning the loss of longtime owner and racing advocate Charlie Shaw, who died at age 90 . Shaw purchased the historic high?banked oval to preserve its legacy as the “World’s Fastest Half?Mile” and oversaw major grassroots events, including the Winchester 400, USAC sprint cars, and ARCA Menards Series races.  Known for his hands?on leadership and commitment to Randolph County, Shaw modernized operations while protecting the track’s 1916 character.
