Indiana has been approved for mass SNAP benefit replacement after August’s severe storms caused widespread power outages. The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration will automatically replace benefits for eligible households across 19 counties, including Wayne County. Depending on when benefits were issued, households will receive between 15% and 60% of their monthly allotment. Households that received their benefits between August 5th and August 9th will receive the largest replacement, at 60% of their monthly allotment.  About 36,500 households may qualify, with assistance totaling up to $10 million.
