CAMBRIDE CITY, Ind. – A flood benefit concert is planned for Friday, Sept. 4, in Cambridge City to support those affected by recent flooding.

The Canal Came A-Roaring: Flood Benefit Concert will run from 6 to 11 p.m. at the Creitz Park Pavilion behind the fire station.

The Cambridge City Area Chamber of Commerce and Kicks 96 are sponsoring the event. Proceeds will be divided among businesses affected by the flooding.

Performers will include Scott Ross, AJ Wetzel, Neon Heartaches and Sean Lamb & Janet Miller.

"The amount of support this community has shown each other has been tremendous. We're very grateful for the opportunity to help lift some of the burdens off of our local businesses," said Sean Lamb. "They're the heartbeat of our small town, and we appreciate all of the hard work they put in to make our little stretch of US 40 one of the nicest around."

Food will be available during the event.

Some businesses will be open downtown while affected businesses that have not reopened will be able to set up at the pavilion.

Donation buckets will be available, allowing for direct support.
